Note

Comments from a letter from Richard CO (his brother) to Roger (his son) dated 16th Feb 1978: "...of course he was not much older than you are, when he died but he made quite a mark even in so short a time. He was gregarious and always full of life and fun. He was a great joker - particularly keen on practical jokes - but he was chaotical ly lackadaisical about some things. I always remember at school that he never did up his shoelaces and had always forgotten something. But it never worried him! However he also had a very good brain and when he put his mind to something serious he could do very well. His gaiety was infectious and everyone was very fond of him."
